What is it?

Neuralink is the most recent project of our beloved Elon Musk, it is also an American neurology company created in July 2016 with headquarters in San Francisco, California.

According to Wikipedia since its founding, the company has hired several high-profile neuroscientists from various universities. By July 2019, it had received $158 million in funding (of which $100 million from Musk) and was employing a staff of 90 employees.

What they want to do?

Their proposal is help disabled people to their control Smartphones and Computers with their brains and then start make us better like Cyborgs.

How does it works?

Basically they install some threads (1500) something thinner than hair just like a neuron with some electrodes in your head, that is connected to a little box which going to send information took from your brain to the Smartphone or Computer you want to control.

 

Why is so important?

If this works like as it should can solve a lot of problems like restore movement in immobile people, cure Alzheimer's and make us better.

just think about the advantages of controlling all the technology around you just by thinking, so far it has been tested on animals and has given good results and could start testing with humans in 2020, they are looking for volunteers, though.



Just think about this like the future but in the present.
